Kalki 2898 AD is an upcoming Indian science fiction film, based on Hindu scriptures. The film is written and directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by C. Aswani Dutt under the production house “Vyjayanthi Movies”. Kalki 2898 AD was earlier named as Project K the unveiling of this updated name took place at the prestigious San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC).

The teaser shared by the filmmakers created lot’s of excitement and fans are eagerly waiting to see Prabhas blockbuster entry like in “Bahubali”. The clips also include some shots of actor Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone character which adds another level of excitement for bollywood fans to the mythological sci-fi drama.

Most Expensive Film

According to the reports the film Kalki 2898 AD has been made on a budget of 600 Crores US ($75million). It is the most expensive film ever made in Indian Film History.

Storyline of the Film

The Story line of Kalki 2898 AD film revolves around the period of Mahabharat, the first glimpse of the film opens with “When the world is taken over by darkness, a force rises,” which sets the tone for the good vs evil saga. In the real world, the word “Kalki” refers to Lord Vishnu’s tenth avatar, which is likewise a futuristic avatar that has yet to be seen. In the film teaser it is shown that Prabhas comes as a ray of hope for people who’ve been ruthlessly treated by the dark forces. As far as many details are not out for the film.

Worldwide Release Date and Available Languages

The Film is set to release on 9 May, 2024 in theatres worldwide and will be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and English.

Fees of the Actors (Kalki 2898 AD)

With this massive budget film the fees of the actors were also not small; Prabhas the lead actor charged a lump sum of 100 Crores for this project, then we came to “Amitabh Bachchan” who charged 10 Crores, and “Disha Patani” got 2 Crores for her participation. The 68 years old South actor “Kamal Hassan” reportedly gets a better payout then Amitabh Bachchan took home a paycheck of 40 Crores for his role. “Deepika Padukone” , who will be the lead female actor in the film, takes a staggering 20 Crores for her role. “Dulquer Salmaan” also gets 3 Crores for Kalki 2898 AD. A total of more than 160 Crores spent on the actor’s salary.
